A riverside gem with charm

Waking up to bird songs by the river was good.

The breakfast options were quite basic, and the decor in the rooms felt a bit stark and lifeless. Slightly more warmth in the aesthetics would enhance the experience.

The hotel property was interesting with very pretty and lovely location near the center and the local airport and a couple of hot dishes. My room included a flat-screen TV with cable channels, central heating and a personal safe. The staff were gentle and amicable, their services were friendly. Had a really nice time.

Beautifully restored main building, original art displays

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No bar on-site. Breakfast area crowded, lacking variety in cereals and options like eggs or cheese. Rooms devoid of decoration. Odd bathroom door situations. No air conditioning in newer wing, just a fan.

The location on the river is very pretty. When I had a problem with our original room, my issue was resolved very quickly and we were switched to a nicer room. The breakfast was very good and the staff at breakfast were friendly.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. It was tranquil and I loved the location on the river. The facilities though are very old and not extremely well kept. The hotel is in need of renovations. Things are falling apart a bit. When we tried to go for a swim in the pool in the afternoon it was filthy. We skimmed the pool ourselves. The filter was not on. When we asked if it could be turned on we were told no, it is only on in the morning and night. Our original room had extensive mold damage on the wall. When I reported this to the front desk, our room was immediately changed to a nicer upgraded room with a terrace. We should not have been placed in this room to begin with. Though I was pleased with the customer service in remedying this problem, there are other aspects of the hotel that would make me not recommend it.

Rooms are not decorated as the rest of the hotel. They are poor and not as homely as restaurants or hall.

The front desk staff were hospitable, arranged my taxi and providing great local activity recommendations. I also appreciated the warm bathroom heating and the lovely riverside garden lit up at night.

I stayed in a double room for three nights. The main building looks fine, with its original style and art. The riverside view is fantastic, super quiet at night. Just wish the breakfast had a bit more variety!

easy strolls to parks and landmarks nearby

I had a lovely experience enjoying the beautiful riverside view and the warmth of the friendly staff , easy to explore the nearby attractions like museo naval submarino O' Brien, just a quick walk away.

I stayed in a Double Room for 2 nights. The room was spacious with good views of the river, and the hotel was warm and cozy inside. I liked that there was a small central heating system in the bathroom, super helpful. It felt peaceful and homely, even though the decor could use a little color to brighten it up.
